Sara Gepp, Founder

Sara is an Apple Certified Service Provider with a passion to empower people with technology solutions. Her collective work is centered around helping clients with their variety of tech needs. Sara began her career as a Recording Artist for Virgin Records and progressed in her career as an Audio Engineer and System Tech in the I.A.T.S.E. Hollywood Union.

A multifaceted technical expert, IT strategist, and Trusted Advisor with over 10 years of experience. Sara opened Close to Earth in 2014, the leading Tech Support provider in Malibu. Sara still finds time to surf and vlog on YouTube. Serving all of West LA and the West Valley including the surrounding communities as a top rated local business. 

Barb Dijker, Senior Technical Consultant

Barb Dijker is a IT professional with over 30 years of experience specializing in service and network architecture, engineering, and project lead. Barb has spent most of her career advising companies regarding performance, operations, integration, and policy with a security focus.

Throughout her career she has been recognized by clients for her innovative solutions approach and communications while being service driven. Barb’s expert knowledge has been leveraged Internationally as an instructor, speaker, and author.

Barb relocated to Malibu in 2004 and prides herself as a connoisseur of shave ice. Her motivation stems from supporting people to gain the most from technology without sacrificing their privacy and security.




Shania began working in the non-profit environment; the ACLU of Maryland, where she could fuse her love for Community Service and working in Mac environments. Recently, she has been refining and studying her scripting and development skills, and speaking in many circles about the importance of Diversity and Inclusion. She comes to Close to the Earth with a wealth of experience building powerful client systems.

When she’s not leveraging solutions for her clients, she’s an active volunteer. Most recently, she served on the first Advisory Board for YES (Youth Empowered Society) which is a non-profit centered around homeless youth. Her priority while there was outfitting youths sheltered by YES with suitable Mac’s from sponsoring companies and community members.
